The North Coast Jiu-Jitsu Club is unique in that we are a gym owned and operated by a father and his 2 sons, all of whom have earned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts! Paul, PJ, and Kyle have all earned their black belts under Pedro Sauer, one of the most well known and respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructors in the world.  It is a very difficult path of 10+ years to earn a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Suffice it to say that it is rare to find a father and his two sons all with their black belts, running their own school.  

It has been a great journey. We are dedicated to running a great, friendly academy where all are welcome. The best thing about the NCJJC is our culture. We are different from other gyms. We emphasize a cooperative, supportive environment where students at all levels can thrive, get in shape, learn self-defense, and make new friends. Most of our students are working professionals.  Cops, firemen, engineers, accountants, doctors, and lawyers. Make no mistake, our instructors are very qualified, and you will be learning the highest quality Jiu-Jitsu. We ensure that everyone is allowed to develop at their own pace. We have zero tolerance for overly aggressive behavior, and there is no “beating up the new guy”. We know that it can be daunting to start training in a martial art, and we ensure the smoothest entry into what we hope will be a long relationship with our gym and the sport.
